Molly Caro May recently hosted another free monthlong writing experience called “Name Your Anchors,” which I just finished today. You can start any time.
Each day, she sends out a 5-minute freewriting prompt. You simply set a timer and keep the pen moving throughout those five minutes. It doesn’t matter what you write, just keep moving the pen. And that’s it! Rinse and repeat. Anyone can participate.
The prompts were just what I didn’t know I needed each morning, and the 30-day practice became an anchor in and of itself.
It’s also powerful to think of all the folks who did the course together, and how this tiny writing practice shifted our energy and mindsets each day.
If you’re at all interested and have the capacity, I encourage you to give freewriting a try! Why not? Molly’s month-long writing experiences provide a simple, gentle structure to dip your toes into something new. And ohmygosh the prompts. Pure gold. It’s also a great activity to do with someone else, near or far.
Have you ever tried freewriting? If you do give “Name Your Anchors” a try, I’d love to hear about it!
Sending light your way.
