Hello — and thank you for being here.
I’m a 36-year-old woman currently living in a small cottage in Dummerston, just past the Brattleboro town line. It’s magical here among the trees and nearby streams, and, my wonderful landlord is courageously listening to his heart and has decided to sell the property.
And so, I’m looking for a new place to call home. I’m seeking a quiet, grounded space where I can rest, create, and live simply in rhythm with the seasons.
Ideally, I’d love a small, private dwelling — a 1BR, studio, tiny house, or cabin — somewhere quiet, rural, or residential but tucked near forest trails. (A wood stove would be a dream!) I’m also open to right-fit shared living if the energy of the home feels kind, spacious, and intentional.
I work part-time at The Heart Rose Club (Brattleboro) and Setu Vermont Retreat Center (W. Brattleboro), so I’m hoping to stay within ~15 minutes of downtown Brattleboro by car. (I’d also live in town, if the area were quiet enough! I love walking.)
Though I’m new to this region—I arrived last September—every part of me wants to stay. I’m just beginning to find my rhythm here, and feel deeply drawn to continue getting to know this beautiful, heart-centered community.
Some things about me:
- I’m sober (alcohol- and substance-free)
- I eat vegan and use natural products (my body is sensitive to chemicals)
- I’m a gentle, energetically-sensitive, home-loving person; I thrive in quiet, nature-connected spaces
- I love writing zines, baking, reading, befriending plants, and walking in the woods
- I’m respectful, communicative, and take good care of the spaces I live in (I used to work in maintenance)
- No pets currently, but I’d love to have a dog someday in the right place
I’ve been paying $1125/month (plus electric), which has been a stretch for my current income. I’m calling in a home that allows some breathing room and feels more sustainable—somewhere in the $750–$1000/mo range—though I’m open to the right fit.
I connect easily across generations and often feel at home in the company of older folks. If someone you know is seeking a kind, quiet presence—or would welcome a bit of help now and then—I’d be glad to connect.
If you know of something or someone that feels like a match, I’d love to hear from you.

With gratitude,
Rebecca
